B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Jammu, India — Aug. 2016
M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India — Aug. 2021
I received my Bachelors from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, India and Masters from Department of Mechanical, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India in 2016 and 2021 respectively. During my time in IIT Bombay, I worked on various projects from studying fluid flow interactions of bluff bodies in a channel to solidification experiments on high temperature silicate melts under non-contact conditions. My Master's thesis was based on heterogenous crystallization of enstatite melts under non-contact conditions, a precursor towards understanding the development of protoplanetary disk after the Big Bang.
I joined the Ben-Yakar group at UT Austin in 2021 and am currently interested in translational research where my ongoing work is mainly directed towards developing miniaturized surgical probes, capable of high material removal rates, for spinal surgeries.
